This year we were for the first time at the Global Partner Conference of Mobotix, as Platinum Sponsor Partner.
Mobotix, the world-renowned video camera manufacturer for industrial applications, organizes the Partner Days regularly to inform about product developments and news, so that the worldwide partners are always up to date.
This year eks had the opportunity to present its cable junction box, pe-light-2 system, our latest development which is among other things perfectly suited for SmartCity/SmartLighting/CCTV applications such as public and private lighting masts for connecting video cameras or other IoT devices.
By integrating it into the mast, there are no ugly boxes outside the mast and the system is thus protected against vandalism as well as wind and weather.
At the heart of PE-Light-2 is a managed switch that can be managed via a web-based user interface. It has four electrical ports, each supporting Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000 BASE-T) and High Power PoE with an output power of max. 60 W per port (120 W total), as well as one or two optical Gigabit uplinks (1000 BASE-SX/LX) for single or multimode fibers. This allows up to four IP-enabled end devices to be connected to an Ethernet network over distances of up to 10 km. Examples are digital traffic displays, surveillance cameras, weather stations, parking systems or access points with which WLAN hotspots can be connected. Furthermore, pe-light-2 is perfectly suited as a passive glass fibre cable junction box (KüK)/mast connection box to connect the masts to each other with glass fibre. This saves time and money because two separate networks (light + video) do not have to be set up as before.
The event was a complete success for eks. We were flooded by interested parties who wanted to inform themselves about the pe-light-2.
One thing is clear, eks will participate again next year.
